The villa at Ferdinandstraße 6 was built in 1864, the three-story residence of Justus Schuler. After construction was finished, it came into the possession of Moritz Marx, who himself sold it to master bricklayer Friedrich Kreutz in 1866. The apartments were rented to spa guests as the “Villa Henriette” during the summer months beginning around 1886. However, this was not documented in the spa guest lists until 1899. The Haufe family is listed as the owner in the address books starting in 1900.
