Oswald’s Mineral Water Shop (Saalburgwerke)

The house at Waisenhausstraße 4 (then called Armengasse) was already the domicile of the mineral water seller Karl Christian Weber in 1878. In 1897, his widow sold the residence and business to his daughter Louise Oswald. Still in 1916, A. Oswald appeared as the owner of the mineral water business, which had been renamed the “Saalburgwerke” (Saalburg works) and was run by his wife after his death.
