Fuld’s Publishing House

Jonas Fuld, the son of a local Jewish trader, founded a real estate business in connection with a shop selling cigars, lottery tickets, and stamps in 1888. Sales of pictures and postcards, which flourished due to the spa business, led him to work as a publisher for these products. Although his business was first located at Wallstraße 3 near his parents’ house (no. 1), he soon moved to several different addresses on Louisenstraße Road, and from 1914, he was based at Louisenstraße 26.
