The Wingertsbergschlösschen palace, a neo-Gothic design with bays, turrets, crenellations and pointed arch windows, was constructed from 1860 to 1862 based on plans drawn up by the multi-talented architect and railway pioneer Edmund Heusinger von Waldegg. It was to be the residence of Councilor Wiesenbach. At the same time, it also fulfilled the function of one of the Kurpark’s “points of view”, in the same way as the previous building, a wooden temple, which had been built around 1840. In 1966, the Federal Insurance Fund for Salaried Employees bought the area and tore down the now decrepit building. In its place, the Wingertsberg rehabilitation clinic was constructed.
