The Parkbad spa, also known as “Wiesenbad” (Meadow Spa), was created as a temporary spa facility by renovating the 1857 storeroom behind the Brunnensälchen (Small Spring Room) in 1872. It had 12 bathing rooms, and the water came from the Ludwigsbrunnen spring. In 1873, four bathing rooms were added, and a wash hall was built in 1875. In 1879, peat baths were added to the services alongside the mineral baths. When the spa facilities were centralized at the Kaiser-Wilhelms-Bad (Emperor Wilhelm Spa), the Parkbad spa was no longer necessary. It was auctioned off in 1890 and torn down soon thereafter.
