In 1847, Café Bellevue opened in the just finished building, also known as Café Michou. It was located in the immediate vicinity of the Kurhaus spa. In 1854, it was expanded to become the “Hotel Bellevue”, as it was still included in the spa guest lists in 1914. Only in 1915, during the First World War, did the hotel receive the name “Deutscher Hof”.
