The building at Weinbergsweg 60 was built to be a hotel by Johannes Molitor from Kirdorf from 1888 to 1890. The “English girls” of the Maria Ward order acquired it in 1894 and established a Catholic housekeeping and educational boarding school in connection with a rest home in 1896. During the two World Wars, the building was used as a military hospital. In the meantime, it was used as a boarding school and, in 1926, as a housekeeping school. Since 1952, it has been a Realschule high school with a vocational Gymnasium high school for girls.
