Wehrheim’s Bicycle Shop

At the turn of the 20th century, the bicycle became more and more popular as a mode of personal transportation. Cycling was also considered a modern, healthy leisure time activity. Starting in England, the bicycle took over the continent. Because of the many English guests, bicycles became part of the spa city infrastructure. Clemens Wehrheim opened his bike shop with rentals at Louisenstraße 105 around 1900, and it was still mentioned in the address book of 1916.
