Villa Stefanie (Privat-Hotel Stephanie)

The widow Therese Michon bought the 1849 house in around 1890-91 and ran a spa guesthouse there around 1898-99. In 1902, it was bought by the Bürgin-Geitlinger family, who continued to run the guesthouse as a private hotel, the “Villa Stefanie”, starting in 1903. In 1955, the house was then used by the Federal Insurance Fund for Salaried Employees as a sanatorium.
