Postal Station (1.)

The oldest known postal station was located in the building at Louisenstraße 1. It was mentioned in a recruitment contract from Landgrave Friedrich II in 1698. In 1817, the post office was transferred to the House of Thurn and Taxis. The station was moved to Löwengasse 17 at this time.
